About

Here you will find a genealogy of one line of the Pearce Family beginning with Edward Pearce, born 1701 in Northern Ireland, a Scots-Irish immigrant to Pennsylvania in 1737.

Edward Pearce

Edward Pearce, 1701-1777.

Edward and Frances (Brassington) Pearce, and their son Cromwell Pearce settled on a farm in Willistown Township, Chester County, PA, where the Battle of Paoli took place in 1777. Their descendants are now scattered across the country.

This research is an attempt to unite all Pearce & Pierce families who descend from Edward and Frances (Brassington) Pearce of Chester County.

In addition to the the genealogical database of over 3000 names, this site contains numerous original supporting document images, photos, headstones, and more.

All research contained within is a compilation of sources – both primary and secondary, with varying degrees of quality. Sources are always provided, and should be considered for any given piece of data.

The genealogical breadcrumbs these Pearces left behind are sparse at times, with many holes left to fill. Your participation is most appreciated (but be advised that living people are not included in the database).

Comments, corrections and contributions of data are welcomed and encouraged!
