    The John Clement Burton House in Stroud, Oklahoma.

    This is the house that J.C. Burton built outside the town limits of Stroud – he caught grief for being off the tax rolls and not able to participate in town politics.
    The house is still there. Note the horse and buggy to far right. House was built in 1906 – eleven rooms.
